A fourth issue is font embedding failure. If the deck uses a font that is not embedded and is presented on a machine that does not have that font installed, PowerPoint silently substitutes a fallback — usually Calibri — which can destroy the entire typographic system. The fix is to always embed fonts before final export (File > Options > Save > Embed fonts in the file) and to test the file on a clean machine before the event.
Finally, building a one-off file instead of a reusable template means the next launch event, the next regional presentation, or the next quarterly update starts from scratch. The right output is both a polished event-ready deck and a locked template file that the internal team can extend without breaking the system.
