The Research Challenge
Mapping the distribution landscape for special steel products across Albania is not a straightforward desk research exercise. The market — which spans rolled products, structural beams, pipes, and sheet metal — is fragmented, with many distributor relationships operating outside of formal directories or industry registries.
Our client had international operations but limited visibility into how these products actually moved through the Albanian supply chain. They needed verified, structured intelligence before making any sourcing or market entry decisions — and they needed it in a format their commercial team could use without additional processing.
Our Research Methodology
Helion360 approached this project as a layered intelligence exercise rather than a simple data collection task. We began by mapping the landscape at a structural level — identifying the types of distributors active in this space, the regions where they operate, and the product categories they handle.
From there, we cross-verified every distributor entry against multiple sources, drawing on trade associations, business registries, and regional networks with visibility into Albania's construction and manufacturing supply chains. Distributors were segmented by product focus — those handling structural beams and pipes were tracked separately from flat-rolled and specialty sheet metal suppliers — giving the client a clear, navigable dataset.
All findings were then organized into an executive-style research report through our Executive Style Research Reports process, designed to communicate both the data and the strategic context around it.
What We Delivered
The final deliverable was a verified distributor database paired with a market overview. It included categorized contact records, notes on regional concentration, and an executive summary that framed the findings in terms of market entry and sourcing relevance.
Rather than presenting a raw data export, we structured the report so the client's team could move directly from reading to decision-making. The geographic distribution analysis helped highlight where supply was concentrated and where gaps existed — information that shapes both sourcing strategy and partner outreach.
This project drew on our Market Research Services and Business Intelligence Research Services capabilities, combining rigorous data gathering with clear, purposeful presentation.
