The Starting Point
The client had a product catalog with genuine commercial potential, but no structured process to turn it into revenue on eBay. Some products had listings that were live but underoptimized. Others had no presence at all. Pricing was set without reference to the competitive landscape, and no one was actively monitoring how listings were performing once they went live.
This is a common pattern in e-commerce operations that grow quickly without establishing the research and listing infrastructure to support that growth. The gap between having good products and having good listings is where margin gets lost.
How We Approached It
Helion360 began with a structured market research phase, working through the product catalog category by category to identify where real buyer demand existed and where the competitive landscape offered room to win. Instead of a broad rollout, we built a tiered prioritization model — leading with products that had the strongest combination of search demand, margin potential, and manageable competition.
For each prioritized product, we wrote keyword-informed titles and descriptions designed to perform in eBay's search algorithm while communicating clearly to buyers. Pricing was benchmarked against active competitor listings rather than set arbitrarily. We also established a monitoring process so that performance data could feed back into ongoing adjustments — refining titles, updating pricing, and shifting category placement where needed.
What the Work Produced
By the end of the first phase, the client had a structured set of live, optimized listings built to eBay's current standards and designed to remain compliant as platform policies changed. The highest-potential products were live first, generating early performance data that informed the rollout of the remaining catalog.
Rather than leaving the client with static listings, Helion360 delivered a product introduction deck — a research framework, a listing structure, and a monitoring approach they could operate and build on. The guesswork was replaced with a process grounded in data.
