The Research Challenge
This project came to us as a structured econometric research initiative based in Mechelen, Belgium. The client needed more than a data collector — they needed a team that could manage the full analytical cycle, from sourcing credible economics and social science data to running statistical models and communicating results with precision.
The challenge was layered. Academic databases and journals had to be screened carefully for relevance and quality. Raw datasets required cleaning before any meaningful analysis could begin. And the outputs — regression models, hypothesis tests, significance levels — needed to be interpreted in a way that was actionable, not just technically correct.
Our Analytical Approach
We started with source mapping. Before pulling a single dataset, we identified which academic journals, economic databases, and repositories were most relevant to the research scope. This upfront keyword analysis saved time downstream and kept the analysis focused.
Data preprocessing came next. We worked through the collected datasets systematically — handling missing entries, normalizing formats, and flagging anomalies before any modeling began. This step is often underestimated, but it directly affects the reliability of every result that follows.
With clean data in hand, we built regression models and ran hypothesis tests using R and Python. Helion360 documented each analytical step so the methodology was fully transparent and reproducible. The statistical outputs were then translated into structured reports with plain-language summaries alongside the technical findings.
What We Delivered
The final package included cleaned and annotated datasets, fully documented model outputs, and an interpretive report that connected the statistical findings to the client's research objectives. Key regression results were flagged with their practical significance, not just their p-values.
The client walked away with deliverables they could use immediately — in academic reporting, strategic planning, or further research. Every section of the final report was built for clarity, making the findings accessible to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
