When this tech startup reached out, they were sitting on strong financial projections with no effective way to present them. Raw spreadsheets covering three distinct business segments — SaaS, IoT, and AI — held the data, but none of it was structured for an investor audience.
The challenge went beyond formatting. Each segment needed its own five-year financial model, complete with scenario-based sensitivity analyses. And every model needed to feed into a polished, presentation-ready deck — all within two weeks. That kind of scope demands both analytical precision and design discipline working in parallel, not in sequence.
How We Approached It
Helion360 structured the engagement in two phases that overlapped rather than followed each other sequentially.
On the modeling side, we built three Excel-based financial models from the ground up. Each one covered detailed revenue forecasts, operating cost structures, and margin projections through a five-year horizon. Sensitivity tables were built to let investors toggle key assumptions and immediately see the impact on outcomes — a feature that tends to matter a great deal during due diligence.
On the presentation side, we focused on narrative architecture rather than visual polish alone. The goal was to make complex, multi-variable projections feel accessible and compelling without oversimplifying the underlying logic. Charts were constructed specifically for each slide's purpose, and the story across each deck was built to support a coherent investment thesis for that segment.
What Was Delivered
All three financial projections and investor presentations were completed within the two-week window. The deliverables covered SaaS, IoT, and AI as distinct business stories — each with its own financial character — while maintaining a consistent methodology and visual standard across the full package.
The client used the materials in an upcoming investor roadshow. Feedback from early meetings indicated that stakeholders were engaging with the narrative more directly, spending less time deciphering data and more time discussing opportunity.
