The dataset was rich but unstructured. Without a disciplined coding framework and a clear theoretical foundation, the risk was producing a report that felt subjective — observations without weight. Building the Analytical Framework
We started by conducting a thorough review of the raw feedback, reading across all sources to develop an initial understanding of the landscape before any formal coding began. This grounding phase was essential — it shaped the coding framework we built next.
The framework was designed to be both rigorous and practical. Each code mapped to recognized concepts in qualitative research methodology, and we applied it consistently across the full dataset. As thematic patterns emerged, we examined how they related to each other, which themes were dominant, which were emerging, and where the data clustered in ways that carried strategic significance.
