The UK hospitality sector is fragmented — thousands of independent operators running bed-and-breakfasts, boutique hotels, and owner-managed restaurants, spread across directories, review sites, and social platforms with varying levels of information quality.
The client needed 100 verified records, not 100 rough entries pulled from a single source. Business names, direct contact details, and social media handles all had to be accurate and current. That meant cross-referencing multiple platforms for each entry and manually reviewing every record before it went into the final dataset.
How We Approached It
Helion360 began by establishing a clear definition of what qualified as a small, independent hospitality operator. This kept the scope consistent and ensured every entry matched what the client actually needed for their market research — not adjacent businesses that would dilute the dataset.
From there, we worked systematically through UK business directories, Google Maps, hospitality-specific review platforms, and social media channels. For each business, we captured the owner or manager name where publicly listed, the trading name, contact email or phone, website URL, and active social handles. Nothing went into the sheet unverified.
Data accuracy was treated as a non-negotiable. A list with gaps or outdated contacts would have created extra work for the client's research team, so every entry was checked before it was included.

The final dataset contained 100 verified UK hospitality operators, structured in a clean, sortable format the client could use immediately. Every record met the original scope — genuinely small, independent businesses with complete and usable information.
