The Problem With the Existing Platform
Stenoresearch.com's WooCommerce setup had accumulated enough friction across its core flows that it was actively working against conversions. Users encountered a disjointed sign-up process, a checkout experience with unnecessary steps, and an account area that offered little clarity or control. There was also a significant gap in content protection — research that should have been subscriber-only was accessible without a valid membership, undermining the platform's entire business model.
These weren't surface-level cosmetic problems. They were structural issues embedded in how the platform had been built and extended over time.
How We Approached the Rebuild
Helion360 began with a full audit of the user journey — from first visit through registration, checkout, and post-purchase account access. Rather than patching individual problems, we mapped the entire flow and identified where each breakdown occurred before writing a single line of code.
The sign-up and authentication flow was rebuilt to be more direct, cutting unnecessary steps and improving error handling so users understood exactly what was expected of them. The checkout was restructured with cleaner field grouping, smarter validation, and a layout that guided users through the process without confusion.
The account management dashboard received a significant reorganization. Subscription details, billing history, and content access were consolidated into a single, coherent screen. We also built and integrated a reading blocker that connects directly to WooCommerce membership status — meaning content access is now accurately gated based on whether a user holds an active subscription.
What the Delivery Looked Like
Every component was developed with stability and performance in mind. The reading blocker launched cleanly without affecting the existing content library. Page load times were kept in check throughout the build — new functionality was added without introducing unnecessary overhead.
The account area now works as a genuine self-service hub, which reduces the operational burden of handling user support requests manually. The checkout and sign-up improvements addressed the specific drop-off points that had been pulling down conversion rates.
