The second layer is visual language. A polished deck operates on a defined visual system: a constrained color palette, a clear typographic hierarchy, a consistent grid, and a considered use of imagery and iconography. These are not decorative choices. They are the mechanism by which the audience's eye moves through information without conscious effort.
The third layer is the craft of individual slides. Each slide is a discrete communication unit. It has a headline that states the takeaway, a body that supports it, and a visual that reinforces rather than repeats it. Getting all three to work in harmony, across thirty or forty slides, is where the real effort lives.
Rushed execution tends to collapse the first layer entirely, improvise the second, and treat each slide as its own isolated problem. The result looks like a deck, but it does not work like one.

Animation and Transition Discipline
