In practice, non-designers reach for whichever color is nearby, and the hierarchy collapses entirely. Underestimating alignment work is another consistent issue. A grid that is set up correctly at the master level but not locked propagates inconsistency the moment someone drags a text box slightly off the snap point. Enabling View → Snap to guides and distributing guides at 80px intervals on a 1920px canvas gives editors visible guardrails that are surprisingly effective at maintaining alignment without design intervention.
Finally, teams often mistake a working draft for a finished template.
