Slides that were built over time by multiple people, or assembled in a hurry by pulling from different decks, carry the visual fingerprints of every source they touched. Most people underestimate how structural this work is. Real consistency in a multi-slide deck is not achieved by manually reformatting each slide one by one. That approach creates the illusion of consistency while leaving the underlying architecture fragmented.
Done properly, the work requires four things working together. First, a correctly configured Slide Master and Layout hierarchy in PowerPoint — this is the structural layer that governs every slide.
