When this project came to us, the client had a functioning business concept but very little of the infrastructure needed to compete online. There was no brand identity to speak of, no organized view of the market, and no Shopify presence. The ask was broad: build everything, and make it work together.
That kind of scope can easily become fragmented. Our first decision was to treat this as one integrated engagement rather than a series of disconnected tasks.
Research Before Anything Else
We began with market research — not as a formality, but as the actual foundation for everything that followed. We mapped competitors, identified the most defensible product categories, and built a clear profile of the target customer. That profile shaped the brand and the website before a single design element was created.
This sequence matters. Brands that skip research tend to build visually polished stores that speak to no one in particular. We used our go-to-market research services to make sure every decision downstream had strategic backing.
Brand Identity and Shopify Build
With the research in place, we developed a visual brand identity — logo, color system, typography, and tone of voice — that reflected both the niche and the values the client wanted to project. We then built the Shopify website around that identity, structuring product pages, navigation, and copy to match how the target audience actually shops.

Marketing Channels Ready at Launch
One of the most important outcomes of this project was that the client didn't launch into silence. We built a social media campaign framework and an email marketing sequence as part of the same engagement. These weren't placeholders — they were structured, on-brand, and ready to deploy.
We also created a marketing and sales blueprint the client could use as an ongoing reference, so the market strategy didn't live only in our heads.
