Why a Tech Startup's Presentation Template Is Never Just a Design Problem
There is a particular kind of pressure that comes with building the visual foundation for a tech startup. The deck is not just a document — it is the company's first impression in front of investors, partners, and enterprise buyers. When the template is inconsistent, off-brand, or visually immature, those audiences notice, even if they cannot name exactly what feels wrong.

The template — the master architecture behind every slide — is what prevents that drift.

Chart defaults are configured by modifying the Chart Template (.crtx) or by setting a default chart style inside the file. The remaining 60% lives in alignment, spacing precision, testing every layout across a dozen slide combinations, verifying chart defaults, confirming that placeholder behavior works as expected in every layout, and auditing the file on a second machine. Treating that second half as optional produces a template that looks impressive in a screenshot and frustrates everyone who uses it in practice.
Finally, building a one-off design file rather than a reusable system means the work has to be redone every time the brand evolves or a new presentation type is needed. A properly built template pays for itself in consistency and speed every time it is opened.
