The Problem With Pages That Look Fine But Don't Work
Some usability problems are invisible until you look for them deliberately. The client's landing pages were visually coherent — but users weren't engaging the way the team expected. Bounce rates were higher than they should have been, and conversion on key calls to action was inconsistent. The templates had been built over time without a unifying UX framework, and no structured research had ever been conducted to test whether they were actually serving user needs.
The challenge wasn't cosmetic. It was structural — and solving it required a process, not just a redesign.
Starting With Research, Not Assumptions
Helion360 opened the project with a full audit of the existing templates. We mapped user flows, analyzed content hierarchy, and documented every point where the design asked users to make a decision. That diagnostic work gave us a clear picture of what was happening — but we needed to understand why.
We ran user surveys and conducted structured interviews with people who represented the client's actual audience. We also ran usability tests against the live pages, observing where users hesitated, where they dropped off, and where the interface created confusion. The patterns that emerged were consistent and actionable.
Designing From Evidence
With research findings in hand, we moved into wireframing. Each template was rebuilt from the ground up, with layout decisions tied directly to observed user behavior. We developed interactive prototypes and ran additional rounds of testing before finalizing anything. Nothing went forward based on gut instinct alone.
The final deliverables included validated high-fidelity prototypes for each key page template, a structured research summary, and a full market research presentation design services. Our Consumer Research Services and Customer Insights Research Services frameworks shaped the research methodology, while our Themes and Templates Design Services informed how we structured the final design outputs.
What the Redesign Delivered
After implementation, the redesigned templates showed clear improvement across engagement metrics. Bounce rates declined, time-on-page increased, and primary call-to-action completion rates rose meaningfully compared to the original versions. Every change made was traceable back to a specific research insight.
The client also walked away with documentation that made the rationale behind each design decision transparent — giving their internal team the context to maintain and evolve the templates over time.
