The Problem With Piecemeal Visual Design
When a New York City startup approached us for help, their biggest challenge was not a shortage of ideas — it was a shortage of visual consistency. Their Squarespace site had been built quickly and their presentation slides and research reports had evolved independently, creating a brand that looked different depending on where you encountered it.
For a growing company trying to make a strong impression on partners and investors, that inconsistency was a real liability. The content was there. The credibility gap was visual.
Building a System, Not Just Fixing Files
Helion360 started by auditing everything the client had — the website, existing slide decks, and several versions of their research reports. Rather than patching individual files, we identified the underlying problem: there was no shared visual language across formats.
We built one. That meant defining a color palette, establishing a typographic hierarchy, and setting layout principles flexible enough to work on a website, a slide deck, and a formatted report simultaneously.
With those rules established, every deliverable followed the same logic. The Squarespace site was restructured and restyled to reflect the new direction — cleaner section layouts, consistent type treatment, and a more deliberate visual flow. The presentation slides were redesigned from the ground up into reusable templates the client could update without starting over each time. The research reports received structured layouts that made dense information easier to navigate.
What the Client Walked Away With
At the close of the engagement, the startup had something they did not have before: a repeatable visual system. The website, slides, and reports all looked like they came from the same organization — because now they did.
The practical impact was significant. The team could produce new presentations and reports without making visual decisions from scratch. The templates handled the structure; the client handled the content. That shift saved time and removed a recurring bottleneck that had been slowing down their output.
