The Challenge
A small, fast-growing game development team had an ambitious vision: a cooking game that would transform how players interact with the kitchen — blending culinary culture, creative gameplay, and rich visual storytelling into a single, cohesive experience. The challenge was significant. The team was in the early stages of development, which meant there was no established visual language to build from. They needed a 2D artist and graphic designer capable of not only producing high-quality game assets — characters, environments, and cutscenes — but also helping define the aesthetic direction of the entire project. Maintaining visual consistency across a growing library of assets, while iterating rapidly alongside an art director and game designers, required both creative range and disciplined execution.
Our Approach
Helion360 embedded directly into the client's creative workflow, working in close collaboration with the art director to first establish a unified visual style before any production assets were created. The process began with concept art exploration, testing how different illustration styles translated across cuisine themes and gameplay scenarios. Once the visual language was defined, the team moved into full production — creating character illustrations that felt expressive and on-brand, designing immersive environment art that brought each kitchen setting to life, and developing cutscene visuals that supported the game's narrative beats. Every asset was reviewed against the established style guide to ensure consistency across the entire project, and iterations were handled quickly to keep pace with the development timeline. All work was executed using Adobe Creative Suite tools, with files structured for clean integration into the game pipeline.
The Outcome
The engagement delivered a complete suite of production-ready 2D visual assets — including character illustrations, environment art, and cutscene graphics — all unified under a consistent and vibrant visual identity that captured the warmth and energy of different cooking cultures. The client's team gained not just finished assets, but also a documented visual framework they could build on as the project scaled. The visual style established during this engagement gave the game a distinctive, market-ready aesthetic at a critical early stage of development.
Helion360 brings the same creative discipline and production rigor to every game and interactive media project — helping teams turn early-stage visions into polished, cohesive visual experiences.
