The Challenge
A tech startup in the sustainable energy space needed a complete brand identity built from the ground up — one that could communicate eco-conscious values while feeling modern, credible, and commercially ready. The complexity lay in the dual demand: the visual system had to feel warm and approachable enough for consumer-facing packaging, yet sharp and innovative enough to hold up on digital platforms and business collateral. The product itself — a plant-based biofuel — carried significant sustainability certifications that needed to be surfaced clearly on product labels without cluttering the design. With initial founder sketches as a starting point and a tight one-week turnaround, the project required rapid concept development, structured feedback loops, and deliberate decision-making at every stage.
Our Approach
Helion360 began by translating the founder's initial sketches and brief into a structured creative direction, establishing a core palette of fresh greens and oceanic blues that balanced energy and calm. Typography was selected for both legibility and personality — clean sans-serif families that read well at small sizes on bottle labels as well as large formats like website headers and social media profiles. Logo concepts were developed with versatility as a primary constraint, ensuring each mark worked equally well as a square icon, a horizontal lockup, and a monochrome variant for single-color applications. For packaging, the team designed a front-of-bottle composition that led with the brand mark and product identity, while the side label was structured to present sustainability certification information in a clear, scannable hierarchy. Multiple concept rounds were built into the process, with each iteration refined based on client feedback until both form and function aligned with the startup's vision.
The Outcome
The engagement delivered a complete brand identity system including a primary logo with multiple lockup variants, a defined color palette and typography guide, business card layouts, social media profile assets, and a two-panel packaging design covering the front bottle face and the sustainability certification side label. Every element was built to scale — from a small bottle label to a full-bleed digital banner — giving the startup a cohesive visual foundation ready for launch across all touchpoints.
