The Challenge
A fast-growing tech startup came to us at a pivotal moment in their brand journey. They had a clear vision and strong product, but lacked the visual identity to match. The challenge was not simply designing a logo — it was creating an entire brand identity system from scratch that would work seamlessly across three distinct outputs: a primary logo, a browser-ready favicon, and product packaging. Each of these touchpoints serves a different function and appears in a different context, yet they all needed to feel unmistakably part of the same brand. The added complexity was aligning the visual direction with the startup's technology-forward values while keeping the aesthetic accessible and market-ready, not cold or overly corporate.
Our Approach
Helion360 approached this engagement as a full brand identity build rather than a series of isolated design tasks. The process began with a deep discovery phase — understanding the startup's industry positioning, target audience, competitor landscape, and long-term brand ambitions. From there, the team developed a core visual language built around a custom wordmark and icon combination that could scale gracefully from large-format packaging down to a 16x16 pixel favicon without losing legibility or character.
The logo system was designed with modularity in mind: a primary lockup for general use, a condensed version for tight spaces, and an icon-only mark for favicon and app icon applications. Color palette selection was deliberate, drawing from tech-industry conventions while introducing a distinctive accent tone to differentiate the brand in a crowded space. Typography was chosen for clarity and modernity, with clear hierarchy rules established for packaging copy. Every packaging design element — from label structure to iconography — was built to reinforce brand recall and communicate product quality at first glance.
The Outcome
The engagement delivered a complete, production-ready brand identity system comprising a multi-format logo suite, a precisely crafted favicon optimized for both light and dark browser environments, and fully designed packaging artwork ready for print. The startup received brand assets that worked cohesively across digital and physical touchpoints — from their website header to their product shelf presence. The unified visual system gave their marketing team a strong, flexible foundation to build campaigns on immediately, without the inconsistency that typically plagues early-stage brands. The packaging design in particular elevated the perceived quality of the product and positioned the brand competitively within the market.
