The Challenge
A fast-growing technology startup based in San Francisco came to us at a pivotal moment in their growth. They had a compelling vision centered on innovation and sustainability, but no visual identity to match it. What made this project particularly complex was the scope: the client needed far more than a logo. They required a fully cohesive brand system — from typography and color palette to packaging concept booklets that communicated their sustainability values across multiple product lines. The brand had to feel modern yet timeless, work seamlessly across digital and print environments, and speak directly to an audience that values both cutting-edge technology and environmental responsibility. Starting from a blank canvas while meeting all of those criteria simultaneously raised the design challenge considerably.
Our Approach
Helion360 began with a deep-dive discovery phase, studying the client's competitive landscape, sustainability positioning, and long-term brand aspirations. Rather than treating the logo, identity, and packaging as separate deliverables, the team approached them as a single interconnected system — where every decision in one area informed the others.
The logo was developed through multiple concept directions, each exploring the intersection of innovation and sustainability through form, geometry, and negative space. Once a direction was approved, it became the anchor for the broader identity system: a refined color palette drawing from natural and technological cues, a typographic hierarchy that balanced warmth with precision, and a suite of brand usage guidelines ensuring consistency across all touchpoints.
For the packaging concept booklets, each document was structured to showcase a specific product line — detailing the design rationale, materials philosophy, and how each packaging solution aligned with the startup's sustainability goals. The booklets were designed to function both as internal creative references and as client-facing storytelling tools.
The Outcome
The final deliverables included a versatile, scalable logo system, a complete visual brand identity kit covering color, typography, and graphic language, and a series of polished concept booklets presenting sustainable packaging solutions across the client's key product lines. Every element was crafted to work in harmony — ensuring that whether a stakeholder encountered the brand on a website, a pitch deck, or a physical product, the experience felt unified and intentional. The startup gained a brand foundation strong enough to carry them through their next stage of growth, from fundraising conversations to retail shelf presence.
Helion360 works with startups and technology companies at exactly this stage — when vision needs to become a visual system that the world can recognize and trust.
