The Challenge
Sarah, a triathlon coach building an online presence around coaching, nutrition, and holistic wellness, needed a logo that could carry the weight of everything her brand stood for — athletic strength, mental balance, and expert guidance. The challenge was not simply designing something that looked sporty. It was creating a visual identity that could simultaneously communicate high-performance coaching credentials and the softer, more balanced philosophy of holistic living. Her audience would include competitive athletes, wellness-conscious individuals, and people new to triathlon training — a wide demographic that demanded a design versatile enough to resonate across all of them. The logo also needed to incorporate her name, a coaching title, and a tagline, without becoming cluttered or losing visual impact across digital and print applications.
Our Approach
Helion360 began with a thorough brand discovery process, reviewing the positioning of Sarah's coaching services and the emotional language she used to describe her work. The team identified that the visual identity needed to sit at the intersection of precision and vitality — clean geometry to signal discipline and expertise, paired with a warm, energetic colour palette to reflect movement and life. Multiple concept directions were developed, each exploring a different interpretation of balance and motion through iconography referencing the three disciplines of triathlon: swimming, cycling, and running. Typography was chosen to feel modern and confident without being cold or corporate. Each concept was presented as a mockup across real-world surfaces — social media profiles, coaching apparel, and a website header — so Sarah could evaluate the identity in the contexts where it would actually live. Feedback rounds were structured and iterative, ensuring the final direction reflected her voice while remaining visually refined.
The Outcome
The final deliverable was a complete logo suite — primary lockup, stacked variant, and icon-only version — accompanied by a defined colour palette, typography pairing, and tagline placement guidelines. The chosen design used a fluid, dynamic mark that abstracted the motion of a triathlete in stride, anchored by bold, clean wordmarks with Sarah's name and coaching designation. The result was a brand that felt equally at home on a coaching website, an Instagram profile, and a race-day jersey. Sarah received a presentation of all final assets along with multiple contextual mockups demonstrating real-world application.
