The Challenge
A fast-growing SaaS startup based in San Francisco came to the table with an ambitious brief: their platform was technically capable but visually disconnected, and the user experience failed to communicate the product's core value to new users. The team needed two things delivered in parallel — a system of animated graphics that could simplify and communicate complex platform features, and a comprehensive UI framework built around their brand aesthetic that would support seamless navigation and a polished product feel. The difficulty lay not just in the scope, but in the requirement that both workstreams had to align visually and functionally, all while maintaining a tight pace to support the startup's internal product roadmap.
Our Approach
Helion360 began by conducting a thorough review of the platform's feature set and the communication gaps users were experiencing. The design process opened with a discovery phase that mapped user journeys and identified the moments where static visuals were failing to convey interaction or workflow logic. From there, the team developed a library of purposeful animated graphics — each one designed to reduce cognitive load and guide attention toward key product behaviors. Simultaneously, a full UI framework was constructed in Figma, encompassing wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and interactive prototypes. Every component was built with the brand's visual language as the anchor, ensuring that typography, color, spacing, and motion all spoke consistently across the product experience. Prototypes were tested iteratively to confirm that navigation flows felt intuitive before any handoff to development.
The Outcome
The engagement delivered a complete, production-ready design system: a suite of animated graphics that translated the platform's most complex feature concepts into clear, engaging visual sequences, alongside a robust UI component library backed by detailed wireframes and interactive prototypes. The startup left with a design foundation capable of scaling alongside their product — not a one-off set of screens, but a coherent framework their engineering team could build from and their product team could extend. The animated assets gave their onboarding and marketing surfaces an immediate visual lift, reducing the explanation burden that had previously slowed user adoption.
If you are building a SaaS product and need design work that bridges communication, motion, and usability into a single cohesive system, Helion360 delivers the craft and process to get it done.
