The Challenge
A growing SaaS platform came to us with a clear ambition: transform a visually competent but static website into an engaging, dynamic experience that would better reflect the product's personality and help users intuitively understand core features. The ask was technically specific — they needed custom Lottie animations that could function as animated service icons, interactive hover and click triggers, and lightweight visual elements that would load fast and render consistently across all devices and browsers. The complexity lay not just in crafting polished motion design, but in ensuring every animation was production-ready — optimized for performance, responsive by default, and tight enough to integrate cleanly into an existing development environment without disrupting the site's overall architecture.
Our Approach
Helion360 began by auditing the platform's existing visual language — its color system, typography, iconography style, and brand tone — to ensure every animation felt native rather than bolted on. From there, the team mapped out which platform features and service categories warranted animated treatment, prioritizing the interactions most likely to drive user attention and comprehension. Each icon and animated element was designed in Adobe After Effects and exported as optimized Lottie JSON files using Bodymovin, keeping file sizes minimal without sacrificing visual quality. Interactive states — hover triggers, click-activated sequences, and scroll-based reveals — were designed with developer handoff in mind, with clear documentation on how each animation should behave within the component library. Close coordination with the client's front-end team ensured seamless integration and consistent rendering across Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and mobile environments.
The Outcome
The project delivered a complete suite of custom Lottie animations covering the platform's key service features, all exported as lightweight, developer-ready JSON files. Each animation aligned precisely with the brand's visual identity and introduced a layer of interactivity that made the platform feel modern, responsive, and intuitive. The hover and click-triggered sequences gave users a more exploratory browsing experience, improving the clarity of feature communication without adding page weight. The development team was able to implement every file directly into the live codebase with minimal back-and-forth, and all animations performed consistently across tested devices and browsers.
