The Challenge
A web development company approached us needing a professional logo that could do more than just look good on a business card. The brief called for something modern and technically versatile — a mark that would hold up in SVG format across their live website, scale cleanly to favicon size, and still carry weight in print and marketing collateral. The added complexity was brand positioning: the logo needed to communicate innovation and technical credibility while remaining flexible enough to integrate with an existing website aesthetic. Designing for a tech brand means every visual decision is scrutinised by an audience that knows good design from bad — which raises the stakes considerably.
Our Approach
Helion360 opened the project with a discovery phase focused on the client's competitive landscape and visual references, identifying what made leading web development brands feel authoritative yet approachable. From there, the design team developed multiple concept directions ranging from geometric mark-based identities to wordmark-forward treatments, each tested at small and large scales before being refined. Typography selection was treated as a core branding decision rather than an afterthought, with options evaluated for their readability in digital environments and their alignment with a modern tech aesthetic. Once the preferred direction was selected, the logo was constructed in vector format from the ground up, ensuring pixel-perfect precision and infinite scalability. The final system was then exported across a full suite of formats — SVG, PNG at multiple resolutions, PDF for print, and dark and light variants — so the client could deploy the mark immediately across every touchpoint without additional production work.
The Outcome
The client received a complete logo system built around a single cohesive visual concept. The primary mark was delivered in SVG alongside PNG exports at standard web resolutions, a print-ready PDF, transparent background versions, and both light-on-dark and dark-on-light colour variants. The result was a brand identity system that felt purposefully engineered — visually sharp, technically sound, and ready to anchor the company's web presence from day one.
