The Challenge
A rapidly growing startup approached us needing a complete set of podcast overlay graphics built to support multi-host episode formats — specifically layouts for two, three, and four on-screen participants. The complexity was not simply the number of layout configurations required, but the need to maintain consistent brand identity across all of them. Their visual identity was anchored in a blue and green palette, and they needed the overlays to feature their logo prominently without overpowering the video content beneath. Balancing visibility, brand presence, and visual restraint — all within a tight one-week deadline — made this a project that demanded both strategic design thinking and efficient execution.
Our Approach
Helion360 began by mapping out the three layout tiers independently, ensuring each configuration — two-person, three-person, and four-person — had a distinct spatial logic suited to its format. Rather than simply duplicating elements across layouts, the team rebuilt each composition from the ground up to maintain visual harmony at every host count. The brand's blue and green color system was applied through layered gradient overlays and subtle accent framing that reinforced identity without competing with the live video content. Logo placement was treated as a structural element of each layout rather than an afterthought, positioned to remain consistently visible regardless of the number of host panels. PSD source files were organized with clearly labeled layer groups for each layout variant, making future edits straightforward for the client's internal team. Feedback rounds were built into the timeline to allow for collaborative refinement while still meeting the deadline.
The Outcome
The project was delivered as a complete set of layered PSD files covering all three multi-host configurations, fully aligned with the startup's brand identity. Each overlay variant carried a unified visual language — consistent typography, color application, logo positioning, and frame styling — while being purpose-built for its specific host count. The client received production-ready assets that could be dropped directly into their video editing workflow, along with organized source files for future updates. The designs struck the intended balance: visually polished enough to elevate the show's production quality, yet restrained enough to keep the focus where it belongs — on the hosts and their conversation.
