The Challenge
A new digital brand entering the e-commerce space needed a logo that could do far more than look good on a single screen. The client was preparing to launch across Shopify, Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok simultaneously — four platforms with dramatically different aspect ratios, display sizes, and visual contexts. The logo had to feel at home as a Shopify storefront mark, a compact profile icon on Instagram, a recognizable watermark on TikTok video content, and a bold visual anchor in Facebook ads. Designing a logo that could flex across all of these contexts without losing coherence, recognition, or personality was the core challenge. Generic icon-heavy designs or overly complex wordmarks would inevitably break down at small sizes or in square-crop formats — so the work required deliberate thinking about scalability from the very first concept.
Our Approach
Helion360 approached this project as a brand identity problem, not just a logo design task. The process began with a discovery phase focused on understanding the brand's personality, target audience, and competitive landscape within its product category. From there, the design team explored a range of logo directions — testing how each concept held up across multiple use cases before any single direction was refined. Every candidate was pressure-tested against real platform mockups: as a circular profile image on Instagram, a square thumbnail on TikTok, a favicon on Shopify, and a horizontal lockup in Facebook ad banners. Typography choices were evaluated for legibility at reduced sizes, and color palettes were reviewed for visibility across both light and dark backgrounds. The final concept was developed into a complete logo system that included a primary lockup, an icon-only mark for tight spaces, and a horizontal variant for banner formats — ensuring the client had the right version ready for every context.
The Outcome
The client received a fully resolved multi-format logo system ready for immediate deployment across all four target platforms. The deliverables included the primary logo, a standalone icon mark, a horizontal layout variant, and source files in both vector and optimized raster formats — covering every technical requirement for Shopify theme integration, social media profile images, and paid ad creative. The brand identity was grounded in a clear visual language that communicated the brand's personality without relying on complexity, making it equally effective at 16px favicon size and full-width display. The client launched with a cohesive, professional presence across every channel from day one.
