The Challenge
A school Parent and Citizens Association (P&C) needed a cohesive visual identity built from the ground up and deployed across three distinct digital platforms — their association website, Facebook page, and email newsletters. The complexity lay not just in the volume of deliverables, but in the need for visual consistency across environments that each follow different design conventions and audience expectations. The P&C had a clear mission — to strengthen communication and community engagement between parents and teachers — but lacked the branded visual language to support it. With a firm one-month launch deadline and no existing design system to reference, the project demanded both creative direction and disciplined execution.
Our Approach
Helion360 began by establishing a foundational visual identity that could serve as the anchor for all platform-specific assets. The team developed a logo and brand colour palette aligned with the school's existing identity, ensuring the P&C's materials felt like a natural extension of the broader school community rather than a separate entity. From there, the approach was to adapt — not simply resize — each asset to fit the format, tone, and audience behaviour of each platform.
For the website, the team designed header banners, promotional page layouts, and supporting visual elements that communicated warmth and approachability while maintaining structural clarity. For Facebook, the focus shifted to thumb-stopping imagery and post graphics designed for engagement in a social feed environment, where visual hierarchy and colour contrast needed to work harder. For the email newsletter suite, the team created banner templates and layout structures that balanced compelling visuals with readability at varied screen sizes, ensuring the designs performed well whether opened on desktop or mobile.
Throughout the process, brand consistency was enforced through a shared set of typographic choices, colour values, and iconographic style — allowing the P&C to maintain a unified presence across all channels without requiring design expertise from their internal team.
The Outcome
The project delivered a complete multi-platform asset library including a bespoke logo, website banners, Facebook post templates, and email newsletter designs — all completed within the client's one-month launch window. The P&C launched its refreshed digital presence with a cohesive visual identity that immediately strengthened its credibility with the parent and teacher community. The design system created was straightforward enough for non-designers to use independently going forward, reducing ongoing reliance on external support and giving the association long-term value from a single engagement.
