The Challenge
With a trade show deadline closing fast, a U.S.-based client needed a complete 10x20-foot booth redesigned from scratch — and the print-ready source files had to be in hand by Monday morning EST. The existing design was being scrapped entirely in favor of a new direction, leaving almost no runway. The display consisted of three fabric tension panels: a 10-foot WaveLight® backlit center panel and two 5-foot WaveLine® tension fabric side panels, each requiring distinct visual treatment. The side panels needed to contrast deliberately against the illuminated center, while still maintaining brand cohesion. On top of that, the client required a professionally designed ROI infographic for the right-side panel — replacing a rough draft they had assembled themselves — along with strict print production specifications including Rich Black values, outlined fonts, embedded images, and overprint settings verified for dye-sublimation output.
Our Approach
Helion360 began by reviewing the client's brand guide, existing logo, and photography from prior display iterations to understand the visual language in place. A rapid briefing was conducted to lock in color direction, contrast intent for the side panels, and the hierarchy of information across all three panels. The center backlit panel was built to perform under illumination — balancing vivid color saturation and brand presence for a format that demands attention in a crowded show floor environment. The two flanking panels were designed with deliberate tonal contrast, giving the full display depth and visual flow when viewed as a unified booth. The ROI infographic was rebuilt entirely from the client's draft content, restructured for clarity and professionalism, with data visualized in a way that communicates value quickly to a passing audience. All files were produced in Adobe Illustrator to exact print specifications — Rich Black at C:63 M:52 Y:51 K:100, all fonts converted to outlines, images fully embedded, overprint disabled — and delivered as print-ready source files. The working files were also structured to allow the client to make straightforward edits to copy, layout elements, or design details without requiring a designer for every change.
The Outcome
The complete 10x20 display package — including the backlit center panel, both contrast side panels, and the redesigned ROI infographic — was delivered as camera-ready, print-compliant source files within the 48-hour window. The client received fully editable Illustrator files alongside press-ready PDFs, enabling both immediate submission to the print vendor and long-term flexibility for future show iterations. The final design elevated the booth's visual presence from a rough placeholder to a cohesive, high-impact event signage ready for a competitive U.S. trade show environment.
