The Challenge
An independent recording artist approaching a fast-moving album release deadline needed two distinct print-ready cover designs: a front cover and a coordinated inner sleeve. The brief carried several layers of complexity — both layouts had to prominently feature the album title, incorporate a subtitle, integrate a personal artist photo, and accommodate the band's logo within a cohesive visual system. Beyond the creative demands, every deliverable had to meet professional print specifications, with vector-first formats (SVG or EPS) preferred to ensure scalability and press-ready output without quality loss. Balancing artistic expression with rigid technical requirements — under a tight turnaround — made this a project where both craft and process had to perform at a high level.
Our Approach
Helion360 began by establishing a clear visual direction that reflected the genre and tone of the album before a single asset was placed on the canvas. The design team developed a cohesive visual system that unified both the front cover and inner sleeve as a pair rather than two independent pieces, ensuring the album presented as a complete, intentional package. The artist's photo was carefully composited into the layout with appropriate masking and blending so it felt organic to the overall aesthetic rather than inserted as an afterthought. Typography was treated as a design element in its own right — the album title received prominent hierarchical placement, and the subtitle was handled with enough visual distinction to read clearly without competing. The band logo was integrated in a way that reinforced brand identity without overpowering the cover art. All files were built in a vector-native environment and exported in both EPS and high-resolution PNG formats with transparent backgrounds, ensuring maximum flexibility for the printer and any future reproductions.
The Outcome
The project delivered two fully realized, print-ready album cover designs — a front cover and inner sleeve — each built to professional print standards and exported in both vector and high-resolution raster formats. The artist received a complete package that was immediately ready for submission to a printing partner, with no additional file preparation required. The dual-format delivery (EPS and PNG with transparency) gave the client full flexibility across digital and physical use cases, from streaming platform thumbnails to physical CD and vinyl packaging. The cohesive visual language across both layouts elevated the overall album presentation, ensuring the artwork matched the quality of the music it represented.
If you are preparing a music release and need album artwork that is as technically precise as it is visually compelling, Helion360 delivers design assets built for both creative impact and real-world production.
