The Challenge
A SaaS company preparing to launch a new platform needed a compelling 1.5-minute explainer video that could do what most product pages cannot — communicate complex functionality in a way that feels immediate, intuitive, and emotionally resonant. The brief called for a blend of animation, motion graphics, and live-action footage, all kept tightly on-brand. The challenge was not simply technical execution; it was translating a nuanced software product into a visual narrative that could engage a cold audience within the first few seconds and carry them through to a clear call to action. With a competitive market and high internal visibility, there was no room for generic output or a templated approach.
Our Approach
Helion360 began by conducting a deep-dive into the product's core value proposition, identifying the two or three pain points the platform addressed most directly. From there, the team built a narrative arc that placed the end user — not the product — at the center of the story. A full storyboard was developed before any motion work began, ensuring the visual logic and pacing were validated early. The motion design was executed in Adobe After Effects, with custom animation sequences built to reflect the platform's UI and brand language. Live-action footage was integrated at key emotional beats to ground the story in real-world context. Typography, colour grading, and sound design were all aligned to reinforce a consistent brand tone throughout the 90-second runtime.
The Outcome
The final deliverable was a polished, 1.5-minute SaaS explainer video combining custom motion graphics, branded animation, and live-action footage — all cohesively edited into a single high-impact asset. The video successfully translated a technically complex product into a story that any prospective user could follow in under two minutes. It was produced ready for use across the company's website, paid social campaigns, and sales outreach sequences, giving the team a versatile creative asset that could work across multiple touchpoints simultaneously. The clarity of the narrative reduced the need for lengthy sales explanations and provided the sales team with a self-contained tool for early-stage prospect engagement.
Helion360 works with SaaS teams that need more than a video — they need a story that converts. If your product deserves that kind of treatment, the team is ready to build it.
