The Challenge
The client came to us with a range of t-shirt graphic concepts that spanned from clean, minimal artwork to more intricate, layered compositions. The core challenge was not just execution — it was versatility. Each design needed to work across different printing methods, fabric types, and garment sizes without losing fidelity or visual impact. That meant delivering files in both vector and raster formats, ensuring scalability for screen printing as well as DTG (direct-to-garment) workflows. The client had strong creative instincts but needed a skilled hand to translate those ideas into production-ready artwork that could hold up in the real world.
Our Approach
Helion360 approached this project by establishing a clear visual direction before any artwork was finalized. The team began by reviewing the client's concepts and organizing them by complexity — separating the straightforward typographic pieces from the more elaborate illustrative designs. For vector-based work, Adobe Illustrator was used to build clean, scalable graphics with precise anchor points, well-structured layers, and color separations where needed. For designs that required texture, depth, or photographic blending elements, Photoshop was brought in to handle raster compositions at high resolution. Each design was built with the end use in mind: files were sized correctly for standard garment dimensions, colors were mapped to Pantone references where applicable, and layers were kept organized for easy handoff to print vendors. Revisions were handled efficiently, with the client given clear visual mockups at each stage so feedback could be applied without rework delays.
The Outcome
The project resulted in a complete collection of print-ready t-shirt graphics delivered in both AI and PSD formats, alongside flattened PNG and PDF exports for immediate use. The designs ranged from bold single-color graphics to multi-layered, full-color compositions — all consistent in quality and ready for production. The client received a set of files that could be handed directly to any print shop or DTG vendor without additional preparation. The organized file structure and format variety gave the client full flexibility over how and where the designs were manufactured.
