The Challenge
A small but fast-growing independent music label based in Brooklyn came to us with a creative and logistically nuanced challenge: they needed cohesive, artist-specific visual identities that could honor each musician's unique sound while still sitting comfortably under one label's aesthetic umbrella. With a diverse roster of artists spanning different genres and cultural backgrounds, the risk of visual inconsistency was high. Generic templates would not do — each artist needed a logo, album artwork, and supporting visual assets that felt unmistakably their own, yet professionally produced and market-ready. The label also needed social media graphics and promotional materials to support upcoming releases, adding scope and urgency to the project.
Our Approach
Helion360 began by conducting a creative discovery session with the label's team to understand their overarching brand vision and the individual artistic identities of each musician on the roster. Rather than applying a one-size-fits-all design language, the team developed distinct visual directions for each artist — drawing from genre cues, lyrical themes, cultural references, and the artist's own personality. Custom logo concepts were developed from scratch for each artist, followed by album artwork that extended the logo's visual world into a full compositional format. Social media graphics and promotional materials were then designed to maintain visual consistency across release campaigns. Every deliverable went through an iterative review process, ensuring the label's creative director and the artists themselves had meaningful input at each stage.
The Outcome
