The Challenge
A founder in the early stages of launching a social media platform for local artisans and small businesses came to us with a clear vision but an incomplete visual language. The platform needed to stand out in a crowded digital landscape while communicating warmth, sustainability, and community — values that are notoriously difficult to translate into design without slipping into clichés. Initial logo sketches existed, but there was no cohesive system tying them together. The brand needed to work across an array of touchpoints — from Instagram and LinkedIn to business cards and letterheads — while remaining flexible enough to scale as the platform grew. Designing for a community-driven product meant every visual decision had to feel intentional, human, and culturally resonant rather than corporate or cold.
Our Approach
Helion360 began with a brand discovery phase, analysing the platform's target community, competitive landscape, and the founder's initial sketches to extract the core personality traits the visual identity needed to embody. From there, the team developed a refined logo in both flat and vector formats, ensuring it would render crisply at every scale — from a favicon to a printed banner. A full typography system was established, pairing a modern primary typeface with a complementary secondary font to balance professionalism with approachability. A curated colour palette was built around earthy, warm tones accented with a contemporary neutral, reflecting the platform's sustainability ethos without sacrificing digital vibrancy. The identity system was then extended into a comprehensive brand kit covering business cards, letterhead templates, and a suite of platform-specific social media graphics sized and optimised for Instagram, LinkedIn, and beyond. Each asset was built with consistency guidelines baked in, so the team and future collaborators could apply the brand confidently without deviation.
The Outcome
The engagement delivered a complete, production-ready visual identity system — including a primary logo and secondary variants in vector and flat formats, a full brand kit with colour, typography, and usage guidelines, custom business card and letterhead designs, and a set of social media graphic templates ready for immediate deployment across channels. The founder received a brand that felt both distinctive and deeply aligned with the platform's mission: a visual language that communicates craft, community, and credibility at every touchpoint. The consistency built into the system means the artisan platform can scale its content and outreach without losing brand integrity as it grows.
Helion360 works with early-stage platforms and product founders who need more than a logo — they need a visual system that holds together under real-world conditions.
