The lesson here wasn't that I lacked PowerPoint skills. It was that brand template application at a professional level is more than copying and pasting. It requires an eye for consistency, knowledge of how PowerPoint's slide master system works, and experience handling edge cases — unusual layouts, data visuals, mixed content types — without breaking the overall look.
For a small number of straightforward slides, handling it manually can work. But for a full deck with varied layouts and brand-sensitive details, the time and risk of inconsistency add up fast.
