The Challenge
A fast-growing startup approached us with a branding challenge that sat at the intersection of motion design and web-ready production. Their design team had already established a strong visual identity, but the static 2D logo was falling short of the dynamic, modern presence they needed on the web. The ask was specific and technically demanding: transform the existing logo into a three-dimensional animated asset using Spline, then export it cleanly into both Figma and Webflow without breaking the design system or introducing compatibility issues. Beyond the technical requirements, the animation had to feel organic and brand-aligned — not flashy for its own sake, but purposeful and polished. With a tight deadline and high stakes for the brand launch, there was no room for iteration cycles that stretched beyond days.
Our Approach
Helion360 began by auditing the existing 2D logo artwork to understand its structural geometry, color relationships, and brand tone before touching any 3D tooling. Rather than simply extruding the flat mark, the team rebuilt the logo as a true 3D object inside Spline, carefully mapping lighting, material depth, and surface behavior to maintain brand fidelity across environments. Each animation state was choreographed with intentional easing and timing so the motion felt inherent to the brand rather than templated. The team worked in close coordination with the client's art director through iterative preview renders, refining micro-details such as ambient occlusion, reflection softness, and loop smoothness before finalizing the export pipeline. The Spline scene was then optimized and exported to formats compatible with Figma component workflows and Webflow embed requirements, ensuring the animation performed reliably across browsers and screen sizes without degraded quality.
The Outcome
The final deliverable was a production-ready 3D animated logo that imported cleanly into the client's Figma design library and embedded seamlessly into their Webflow site. The animation preserved the original brand identity while adding a layer of depth and motion that elevated the startup's digital presence considerably. The export was fully optimized for web performance, maintaining visual fidelity on both desktop and mobile viewports. The entire project was completed within the agreed deadline, giving the design team the asset they needed to finalize and launch their brand on schedule.
Helion360 brings the same level of technical precision and brand sensitivity to every logo transformation project — whether it starts from a static logo or a more complex visual system.
