The Challenge
A rapidly growing startup based in Dubai needed a complete visual brand identity built from the ground up — and they needed it to work fluently in two languages simultaneously. The brief called for a logo, business cards, and letterhead templates that functioned equally well in English and Arabic, respecting the typographic conventions, reading directions, and aesthetic sensibilities of both scripts. This is not a simple translation exercise. Designing for Arabic requires a deep understanding of right-to-left layout logic, calligraphic proportion, and how letterforms interact with visual elements at different scales. The challenge was to produce a cohesive system where neither language felt like an afterthought, and where the brand felt equally credible and polished across both cultural contexts — all while capturing the innovative spirit of a company still defining its identity in the market.
Our Approach
Helion360 began by establishing a clear brand direction through logo concept development, exploring marks that could anchor both language versions without relying on typographic complexity alone. The logomark was designed to be language-agnostic at its core — a visual symbol that carries consistent meaning regardless of which script accompanied it. Once the core mark was approved, the English and Arabic wordmarks were developed in parallel, with careful attention to optical weight, baseline alignment, and spacing so that both versions felt balanced and intentional rather than retrofitted. The business card layout was engineered as a dual-sided bilingual system, with the English face and Arabic face each given full design treatment rather than simply mirroring content. The letterhead templates followed the same logic, with margin structures, header placements, and footer zones adapted to accommodate both left-to-right and right-to-left reading flows without sacrificing visual consistency across the set.
The Outcome
The final deliverable was a complete bilingual brand identity package — including the primary logomark with English and Arabic wordmark variants, dual-language business card layouts print-ready in both orientations, and letterhead templates configured for professional correspondence in both scripts. The startup received a brand system that immediately communicated credibility and polish, removing a significant barrier to client-facing communication in the UAE's bilingual professional environment. Every asset was delivered in organized, production-ready files suitable for both digital use and commercial printing.
