The Challenge: Standing Out in One of the World's Most Beautiful Destinations
Coron, Palawan is globally recognized as a bucket-list destination — pristine lagoons, untouched coral reefs, and dramatic limestone karsts that draw thousands of travelers each year. Our client, a growing eco-tourism operator offering island-hopping tours, kayaking expeditions, and sustainable resort stays, had the experiences to match the landscape. What they lacked was a visual identity that could communicate the depth of that experience to international travelers browsing Instagram, Google, and travel booking platforms.
When they came to Helion 360, their brand materials were inconsistent — a mismatched color palette across social posts, a logo that didn't scale well to digital formats, and marketing collateral that felt generic rather than place-specific. Potential guests weren't connecting emotionally with the brand before they even landed on the booking page. The client needed a cohesive visual system that felt as immersive as the destination itself.
Our Approach: Rooting the Brand in Palawan's Natural Palette
We began with a thorough discovery phase, interviewing the client's team and reviewing guest testimonials to understand the emotional core of their offering. Three themes emerged consistently: serenity, discovery, and responsibility. These became the strategic pillars driving every visual decision.
Color System & Typography
We developed a nature-anchored color palette inspired directly by Coron's ecosystem — deep teal from the Kayangan Lake waters, warm sand tones from Bangka boat hulls, and lush mangrove greens. A clean, modern sans-serif was paired with an organic display typeface to balance professionalism with warmth. Every color was tested across print, digital, and low-light mobile environments to ensure consistency wherever a traveler might encounter the brand.
Logo & Mark Refinement
The existing logo concept had potential but lacked refinement. We redesigned the primary mark to incorporate a subtle Bangka silhouette within a circular emblem — nodding to local maritime culture while remaining versatile across brand touchpoints. A full suite of logo lockups was delivered: horizontal, stacked, icon-only, and monochrome variants for use across merchandise, signage, social media, and digital ads.
Visual Asset Library
We produced a comprehensive library of brand assets including social media templates (feed posts, Stories, Reels covers), email header designs, digital brochure layouts, and print-ready materials for in-resort use. Photography art direction guidelines were also delivered, giving the client's in-house team a clear framework for shooting and selecting images that remain on-brand.
The Outcome: A Brand Ready to Compete Globally
Within the first quarter after launch, the client reported dramatically improved engagement across their digital channels. The cohesive visual system gave their team confidence and clarity when creating content, reducing production time and eliminating the patchwork look that had previously diluted their message. Travel bloggers and influencers who visited Coron began organically tagging the brand in a visually consistent way, amplifying reach without additional ad spend. Most importantly, the brand now felt worthy of the destination it represented.
