The Challenge
Our client, a mid-market data center technology company specializing in colocation, cooling infrastructure, and edge computing solutions, was struggling to generate consistent B2B leads through paid social channels. Their internal team had experimented with Facebook Ads in the past but found the platform difficult to optimize for a highly technical, niche audience. Decision-makers in their target market — IT directors, data center managers, and procurement officers at enterprise companies — were not responding to generic ad creative, and cost-per-lead had ballooned to an unsustainable level. They came to Helion 360 needing a smarter, more strategic approach to Facebook advertising that could actually move the needle.
Our Strategy
We began with a deep-dive discovery phase, auditing all previous campaign data, analyzing audience behavior, and benchmarking against industry performance standards. From this foundation, we built a multi-stage funnel strategy designed specifically for the long sales cycles common in enterprise data center procurement.
Audience Architecture
Rather than relying on broad interest targeting, we constructed layered custom and lookalike audiences based on the client's CRM data, website visitor segments, and LinkedIn-matched email lists. We identified three core buyer personas and created distinct messaging tracks for each — from awareness-stage content aimed at IT infrastructure decision-makers to retargeting sequences for visitors who had engaged with product specification pages.
Creative Development
Our creative team produced a suite of scroll-stopping ad assets tailored to a technically sophisticated audience. This included short-form video explainers breaking down complex infrastructure challenges, static carousel ads highlighting ROI metrics and uptime guarantees, and testimonial-style social proof ads featuring anonymized case study outcomes. Every piece of creative was written and designed to speak the language of the buyer, not just promote a product.
Campaign Structure & Optimization
We deployed a full-funnel campaign architecture across Facebook and Instagram, segmenting campaigns by funnel stage, device type, and audience temperature. We implemented conversion-optimized landing pages with industry-specific messaging and fast load times to reduce drop-off. Weekly performance reviews allowed us to reallocate budget dynamically, kill underperforming ad sets early, and double down on the combinations driving the lowest cost-per-qualified-lead.
The Outcome
Within 90 days, the campaign had dramatically outperformed the client's previous benchmarks. Lead volume increased substantially while cost efficiency improved across every core metric. More importantly, the leads being generated were higher quality — pre-qualified prospects who had engaged with mid-funnel content and demonstrated genuine purchase intent. The client's sales team reported shorter initial discovery calls and faster progression through the pipeline, attributing the improvement directly to the educational ad sequences we had built. The success of this engagement led to an expanded retainer covering ongoing campaign management and creative refresh cycles.
