The Challenge
A fashion and apparel brand came to us with raw hand sketches and a clear but demanding brief: turn those initial concepts into professional, print-ready artwork suitable for t-shirts, hoodies, and other garment products. The complexity lay not just in the technical conversion from sketch to vector, but in the need to produce five distinct design variations — each capturing a slightly different facet of the brand's identity while maintaining visual consistency across the entire set. Color accuracy, scalability, and file compatibility with the client's existing production pipeline were all non-negotiable requirements, making this as much a technical execution challenge as a creative one.
Our Approach
Helion360 began by conducting a thorough review of the provided sketches alongside the client's brand references to understand the aesthetic direction, tone, and target audience. Rather than treating each variation as an isolated design task, the team built a unified visual language first — establishing consistent line weights, color palettes, and stylistic rules that would carry through all five pieces. Each sketch was then meticulously traced and redrawn in Adobe Illustrator, refined into clean vector artwork with precise anchor control and smooth curves appropriate for large-format garment printing. The five variations were developed progressively, with incremental brand expression differences — ranging from bold graphic treatments to more refined, minimal interpretations — ensuring the client would have meaningful range without losing brand coherence. All final assets were prepared and delivered in both PNG and EPS formats, with color values locked and verified against print-safe specifications.
The Outcome
The client received five fully realized, print-ready artwork files — each a standalone design variation that could be deployed independently across different apparel SKUs or colorways. The vector files were clean, scalable to any garment size without quality loss, and immediately usable within the client's existing production and supplier workflow. Delivered in both PNG and EPS formats, the artwork eliminated any need for further technical preparation before going to print. The designs struck the balance the client was seeking: modern and commercially appealing while remaining true to the brand's original hand-crafted sketched aesthetic. The project became a foundational asset in the brand's upcoming marketing push, giving the apparel line a cohesive visual identity ready for launch.
Helion360 works regularly with apparel brands and product-driven businesses that need design work executed at a professional production standard — from concept refinement through to print-ready file delivery.
