Launching a new coffee alternative into a crowded wellness market is no small task. The client was introducing a line of plant-based, eco-conscious beverages and needed a complete brand identity and packaging system built from the ground up. The challenge was not simply aesthetic — the brand had to communicate health, sustainability, and approachability simultaneously, while standing out against established competitors on retail shelves. Early-stage concepts existed for the logo direction and color palette, but they lacked cohesion and the visual sophistication needed to compete in a market where packaging is often the first and only point of consumer contact. The brand needed to feel modern and clean without being cold, and natural without feeling generic — a balance that demands both strategic thinking and precise visual craft.
Our Approach
Helion360 began by grounding the work in a clear brand positioning exercise, defining how the visual language should translate the product's core values — plant-based ingredients, environmental responsibility, and a healthier daily ritual — into a design system consumers could immediately connect with. The existing rough concepts were reviewed and refined, with the logo redrawn to achieve both versatility and character. A curated color palette was developed using earthy, desaturated tones that reference nature without leaning into clichés. Typography was chosen to balance warmth with modernity, creating a voice that felt approachable yet credible. The packaging design was then built as a system, ensuring consistency across multiple SKUs while allowing each product variant its own visual identity within the family. Every design decision — from label hierarchy to iconography — was made with the health-conscious, environmentally-aware consumer in mind.
The Outcome
The final deliverables included a complete brand identity system — logo suite with primary and secondary lockups, a defined color palette, typography guidelines, and iconographic elements — alongside a fully realized packaging design system ready for production. The brand emerged with a coherent, compelling visual identity capable of performing on physical packaging, digital platforms, and marketing collateral alike. The packaging system gave the client a scalable foundation, meaning new product additions could be rolled out without starting the design process over from scratch. The result was a brand built not just for launch, but for long-term growth in the competitive plant-based wellness space.
