Project Overview
When a technology startup needed to communicate a complex innovation to potential investors, they knew static slides alone would not do the job. The ask was clear: build an investor pitch deck that combined animated 2D storytelling, original character design, and a visually structured narrative that made the technology easy to understand and compelling enough to act on.
Helion360 took on this project as an integrated design and animation engagement, covering everything from initial character concept development to the final animated pitch deck delivery.
The Challenge
The core difficulty was translating a technically dense product concept into a visual language that non-technical investors could immediately grasp. The client's existing materials were text-heavy and lacked any visual identity. There were no brand characters, no motion language, and no consistent style system to build from.
Additionally, the pitch deck needed to function at two levels simultaneously: visually engaging enough to hold attention during a live presentation, and clear enough to stand on its own when shared as a document afterward.
Our Approach
We began with a brand identity audit to understand the tone and values the client wanted to project. From there, our team developed a set of original characters whose visual design reflected the company's personality — approachable, innovative, and credible.
Each character was built with consistent proportions, color palettes, and expression ranges so they could appear across multiple slide contexts without looking out of place. The character design process involved several rounds of iteration to ensure alignment with the client's branding direction.
Animation and Deck Implementation
Once the character assets were locked, Helion360 integrated them into a full 2D animation sequence designed to introduce the product concept, walk through the problem-solution narrative, and illustrate key use cases. Animated transitions between slides were choreographed to maintain visual momentum without distracting from the content.
Every animated element was built to be high-resolution and export-ready, ensuring the deck performed equally well on a large presentation screen and as a printed leave-behind for investor meetings.
Delivery
The final deliverable was a complete investor pitch deck with embedded animations, a full character asset library, and exported animation files in multiple formats. Helion360 also documented the visual system so the client's internal team could extend the characters and design language for future materials without starting from scratch.
