The Challenge
When a brand undergoes a revamp, the last thing a business needs is to discover that its original logo files are gone. That was exactly the situation this client faced — a PNG reference was the only surviving asset from their previous identity. The challenge was not simply to redraw what existed, but to reimagine the logo in a way that aligned with a newly defined color palette and typography system, all while ensuring the result would perform reliably across both digital platforms and physical print materials. The compressed, flat nature of a PNG file offers no editable paths, no layers, and no scalability — making recreation both technically demanding and creatively sensitive. The deadline added further pressure, with the full deliverable required within a week.
Our Approach
Helion360 began by conducting a thorough analysis of the PNG reference to extract the core structural elements, proportions, and visual language that defined the original mark. From there, the team mapped the extracted design logic against the client's updated brand guidelines, reconciling the legacy identity with the refreshed color palette and chosen typefaces. Rather than producing a single interpretation, three distinct vector variations were developed — each exploring a different balance between the original mark and the evolved brand expression. One variation prioritized fidelity to the original form, a second adapted the structure for stronger digital legibility, and a third pushed toward a cleaner, more contemporary layout suited for print collateral. Each variation was accompanied by a written design rationale explaining the intent, the trade-offs considered, and the contexts in which that version would perform best. All files were delivered in scalable vector format, export-ready for web, print, and production use.
The Outcome
The client received a complete multi-format logo system — three fully vectorized logo variations, each production-ready and accompanied by documented design reasoning. The deliverables gave the brand team a clear basis for comparison and decision-making, with options suited to different use cases rather than a one-size-fits-all solution. The final assets were compatible with both screen-based applications and high-resolution print environments, resolving the immediate crisis of the lost file while simultaneously upgrading the brand's visual infrastructure to meet its current identity standards.
Helion360 regularly works with businesses navigating brand transitions — from lost assets and legacy file recovery to full identity system builds — ensuring that every deliverable is scalable, consistent, and built to last.
